Managed customers

  • Clinic · own WhatsApp account
  • Online store · own WhatsApp account
  • Booking app · own WhatsApp account
Each business connects its own WhatsApp assets. Managed customers use your product, not separate Wevlix dashboards.
Looking for this exact setup?

Your customers connect WhatsApp in your product, pay you, and use your pricing.

Wevlix Provider API gives software platforms the onboarding, messaging infrastructure, and shared billing layer to build that experience. A Provider is a platform that manages WhatsApp messaging for its own business customers through Wevlix.

  • Manage messaging for multiple business customers

Each customer becomes a managed user under your Provider account, with its own WhatsApp connection, templates, messages, and usage.

  • Collect customer payments in your own platform

Your customers pay you, using your plans and billing tools. Wevlix does not invoice them.

  • Pay usage from one Provider wallet

Messaging across all managed customers is deducted from a single prepaid wallet you fund.

  • Set your own prices and margin

You decide what customers pay. Your margin is the difference between your price and your Wevlix usage cost.

What you build · What Wevlix manages

Build your product. We handle the messaging layer.

Your team still builds its own product interface, business logic, customer payment collection, and the backend integration it needs, including a server-side endpoint for webhooks. Wevlix provides the messaging layer underneath.

Use cases

Built for the software your customers already use.

  • SaaS and CRM platforms. Let each business connect its own WhatsApp account inside your product and message its customers from the tools it already uses.
  • ERP systems. Deliver invoices, payment confirmations, and order updates on WhatsApp from the records your customers already manage.
  • Ecommerce and booking platforms. Add order notifications, appointment reminders, and customer support conversations for every merchant or venue.
  • AI automation platforms. Connect customer messaging to your own agents and workflows, with a clear path to human escalation.
  • Software agencies. Manage messaging for several client businesses from one Provider account and one integration.
Billing

Your customers pay you. You pay Wevlix.

Money and messages move separately. Messages go from each customer’s own WhatsApp account; payments flow from your customers to you, and from your Provider wallet to Wevlix.

  1. 01

    Customers pay you

Your customers pay your platform at the prices and plans you choose.

  2. 02

    You fund your Provider wallet

You top up one prepaid Wevlix Provider wallet.

  3. 03

    Usage is deducted

Supported messaging usage across all managed customers is deducted from that wallet.

  4. 04

    WhatsApp charges are settled

WhatsApp charges are settled through the partner billing arrangement, not by each customer.

What “credit line” means here

Partner credit-line billing means WhatsApp fees for your managed customers are paid on their behalf through the partner billing arrangement, instead of each business adding its own Meta payment method for those charges.

For you as a Provider, this runs on a prepaid wallet. It is not a loan, free messaging credit, or a postpaid facility, and no Meta credit line is transferred to your company.

Wevlix does not collect payments from your customers or run your retail accounting. You bill them with your own tools.

Usage margin = customer messaging revenue − Wevlix messaging costs. Account for Provider pricing and your other business costs to calculate profitability.

Capabilities

One provider integration. The operational pieces included.

“One provider integration” means one Provider account, one credential model, and a set of dedicated endpoints for each job, not a single endpoint that does everything.

01

Customer onboarding and account management

Bring each business on board without building a Meta signup flow.

  • Hosted onboarding sessions and result exchange
  • Register, list, update, suspend, restore, and archive managed users
  • Read, synchronize, and disconnect WhatsApp connections
02

Messaging, templates, and conversations

Send the messages your customers need and know what happened to each one.

  • Submit templates for Wevlix review, then track Meta approval
  • Send approved template messages and free text within the 24-hour reply window
  • Read message logs, delivery status, and inbox conversations
03

Shared billing, pricing, and usage

See what each customer costs you so you can price with confidence.

  • Shared wallet balance, ledger, top-ups, invoices, and receipts
  • Usage grouped by managed customer
  • Effective wholesale pricing and your own retail pricing metadata
04

Webhooks, credentials, and support

Run the integration safely in production with people you can reach.

  • Provider webhook endpoints, delivery logs, and retries
  • Scoped provider credentials with rotation and revocation
  • Direct technical support and a WhatsApp group with our team
Connection modes

Two ways to connect WhatsApp.

Both run through the same Wevlix-hosted onboarding. Eligibility and supported features depend on Meta’s requirements for each number.

Standard Cloud API

The default onboarding. The customer connects a number to the WhatsApp Business Cloud API, and your platform sends and receives messages through Wevlix Provider API.

WhatsApp Coexistence

Connect an eligible number that already uses the WhatsApp Business App, and keep the app active alongside the Cloud API. Coexistence is a separate onboarding mode; it is not a destination for migrating numbers from another provider.

Additional channels

Add Instagram and Messenger too.

Instagram Messaging and Facebook Messenger access are included in the Provider plan without an additional Wevlix platform fee per channel.

Many of your customers already talk to buyers on Instagram and Facebook. Bringing those conversations next to WhatsApp lets your product offer one place to reply, route, and automate.

Each channel has its own permissions and policies, and WhatsApp access does not automatically authorize Instagram or Messenger. Account eligibility and Meta limits still apply. Our team helps configure the right access for each channel during setup.

Getting started

From conversation to Provider access.

Activation is reviewed by our team. It does not happen automatically after payment.

  1. 1

Share your platform details on WhatsApp

Tell us about your company, product, and use case. No long application form.

  2. 2

We enable Provider access and guide the setup

We review suitability, upgrade your Wevlix account to Provider, and configure access with you.

  3. 3

Connect customers, fund your wallet, and launch

Go live once your integration and each customer’s account requirements are complete.

Integration

A short integration path for your developers.

Wevlix manages the Meta app configuration and hosts the Embedded Signup experience. You don’t need Wevlix’s App Secret or to rebuild that flow.

  1. 01Create an onboarding session from your backend.
  2. 02Open the returned hostedUrl in the customer’s browser.
  3. 03The customer authorizes the required Meta connection.
  4. 04Receive the resultCode on your return URL and exchange it from your backend.
  5. 05Store the managed customer’s userId and use it with the supported Provider resources.
  • returnUrl must be an approved HTTPS URL on your Provider allowlist.
  • A browser redirect alone is not proof of success. Verify the result from your backend.
  • Provider credentials are server-side secrets, separate from ordinary project messaging keys.
  • Managed customers do not receive their own Wevlix dashboards, project keys, wallets, or logins.
  • Templates go through Wevlix review before submission to Meta; approval is not instant.

FAQ

Questions platforms ask before they build.

The offer

What is Wevlix Provider API, and who is it for?

Wevlix Provider API lets a software platform manage WhatsApp messaging for its own business customers. It is built for SaaS and CRM vendors, ERP, ecommerce, and booking platforms, customer service and AI automation platforms, and agencies that run messaging for several client businesses.

Can I pay WhatsApp messaging fees on behalf of my customers?

Yes. Messaging usage for all of your managed customers is deducted from your shared prepaid Provider wallet, and WhatsApp charges are settled through the partner billing arrangement.

Do my customers pay me, Meta, or Wevlix?

They pay you. You collect payments in your own platform, fund your Provider wallet, and pay Wevlix for Provider access and for messaging usage, which is billed separately. Wevlix does not invoice your customers.

Can I set my own prices, plans, and markup?

Yes. You choose what customers pay. You can also store your own retail pricing metadata in Wevlix. Your usage margin is your customer messaging revenue minus your Wevlix messaging costs, before Provider pricing and your other business costs.

Billing

What does a Meta credit line mean in this offering? Is it a loan or postpaid credit?

It means WhatsApp fees for your managed customers are paid on their behalf through the partner billing arrangement. For you, it runs on a prepaid wallet. It is not a loan, free messaging credit, or a postpaid facility, and no Meta credit line transfers to your company.

Do customers need to add a Meta payment method for this billing arrangement?

No. For WhatsApp charges covered by this arrangement, your customers do not add their own Meta payment method. Usage is charged to your Provider wallet.

What does Provider access include? Are messages included?

Provider access covers hosted customer onboarding, the Provider API capabilities, Instagram and Messenger access, and direct technical support. Messages are not included. Messaging usage is billed separately from your prepaid wallet at your effective Provider rates.

Are there additional platform fees per channel, and how do Meta limits apply?

The Provider plan includes multiple managed accounts and channels without an additional Wevlix platform fee per channel. Messaging usage is still charged, and Meta’s messaging limits, policies, and account requirements still apply to each customer.

Meta, onboarding, and accounts

Do I need my own Meta app or Wevlix’s App Secret?

No. Wevlix manages the Meta app configuration and hosts the Embedded Signup experience used by this integration, so you don’t need Wevlix’s App Secret or to rebuild that flow. Depending on what else your platform does with Meta, other Meta requirements may still apply to you.

Does Provider activation make me a Meta BSP or Tech Partner?

No. A Wevlix Provider account is a commercial and technical role within Wevlix. It does not make your company a Meta Business Solution Provider, Tech Partner, or badge holder.

How do customers connect their business accounts and authorize access?

Your backend creates an onboarding session and opens the returned hosted URL. The customer signs in with Meta and authorizes their own business assets. Your backend then exchanges the result code and stores the managed user ID.

Do managed customers receive their own Wevlix dashboard and wallet?

No. Managed customers use your product. They do not receive Wevlix dashboard accounts, project API keys, individual wallets, or direct Wevlix logins.

How does Provider API differ from Messaging API for one business?

Messaging API is for a company sending its own messages from its own Wevlix account and wallet, with pay-per-delivered-message pricing. Provider API is for platforms that manage many independent businesses, with hosted customer onboarding, managed users, and one shared Provider wallet.

Can customers keep using WhatsApp Business App with the API?

Eligible numbers can use the Coexistence onboarding mode to keep the WhatsApp Business App active alongside the Cloud API. Eligibility, available features, and message history depend on Meta’s requirements.

Can existing numbers migrate from another provider?

Migration depends on the number’s current setup and Meta’s requirements, and it is not the same flow as Coexistence. Share the details with our team and we will review the options for that number.

Are Instagram and Messenger included, and what does “included” cover?

Instagram Messaging and Facebook Messenger access are included without an additional Wevlix platform fee. Each channel has its own permissions and policies, WhatsApp access does not authorize them automatically, and account eligibility applies. Our team helps configure access during setup.

Operations and getting started

Who manages hosting, webhooks, and messaging operations? What remains my responsibility?

Wevlix runs the messaging infrastructure, hosted onboarding, delivery tracking, and webhook delivery. You build your product interface, business logic, and customer billing, keep your Provider credentials on your backend, and run the endpoint that receives and verifies webhooks.

Can I build the experience under my own product identity?

Yes, the messaging experience lives inside your product and your customers deal with you. Some steps, such as Meta’s authorization screens and the hosted onboarding page, still show Meta or Wevlix where those services require it.

Can customers use authentication, utility, and marketing messages?

Yes, through approved WhatsApp templates in each category, subject to Meta’s policies. Templates go through Wevlix review before submission to Meta, and approval is not guaranteed or instant.

How do I apply, what details should I share, and what support is available?

Message us on WhatsApp with your company, platform website, use case, and expected number of customers. We review suitability and enable Provider access. Support includes direct technical help, a WhatsApp group with our team, integration guidance, operational assistance, and coordination of Meta-related issues through available escalation paths.

More technical detail is in the Provider API documentation. Company details are on our About page, with our Terms and Privacy Policy.
